Environmental Responsibility
Artiss is committed to building a creative platform that operates with environmental awareness and long-term responsibility. Our approach to sustainability is rooted in thoughtful production, conscious material choices, and ongoing evaluation of how our work impacts people and the planet.
We recognise that sustainability is an evolving process. Rather than positioning ourselves as perfect, we focus on making informed decisions, improving where possible, and working with partners who share these values.
Our Approach
Eco-conscious product options
We offer a growing range of eco-friendly products and materials and actively work to expand our sustainable catalogue as new options become available.
Made-to-order production
All products are created on demand. This helps reduce excess inventory, minimise waste, and avoid overproduction.
Global fulfilment network
We utilise fulfilment centres located around the world to shorten delivery distances and reduce transportation-related emissions where possible.
Material Choices
100% organic ring-spun cotton is used in select eco-conscious products.
Grown without harmful chemicals, this material helps reduce environmental impact and supports more responsible farming practices.
Sustainability Certifications
To ensure transparency and accountability, we only work with globally recognised sustainability certifications.
These certifications address different aspects of responsible production, including organic content, recycled materials, chemical safety, and animal welfare. These certifications apply only to select eco-conscious products within our catalogue and are not representative of all Artiss products.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
- The leading certification for organic textiles
- Ensures ecological and social responsibility throughout the supply chain
- Limits what non-organic fibers can be blended with certified organic fibers
OCS (Organic Content Standard)
- Confirms the presence and amount of organic material in non-food goods
- Tracks the material from its source to the final product
GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and RCS (Recycled Claim Standard)
- Both verify the content and chain of custody for recycled materials
- GRS adds extra requirements for social and environmental practices, including chemical restrictions
- RCS focuses solely on confirming the recycled content
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (Product Safety Certification)
- Certifies that textiles have been tested for harmful substances
- Ensures materials are safe for direct contact with skin
- Applies to fabrics, trims, and components at multiple production stages
PETA-Approved Vegan (Animal-Free Certification)
- Confirms products contain no animal-derived materials
- Verifies that no animal testing is conducted
- Focuses on animal welfare rather than environmental impact
Ongoing Commitment
Sustainability at Artiss is not a fixed destination. We continue to evaluate new materials, processes, and partnerships as standards evolve and better solutions become available. Our goal is to balance creative expression with responsible production, ensuring that growth does not come at the expense of environmental consideration.
